Teaching and Learning Principles

Teaching in our academy is underpinned by the Trust Teaching and Learning Principles. These have been developed by academies across our
Trust in conjunction with our Research School, and are based on the highest-quality research available throughout the country. This ensures
practices from nationally-recognised bodies, such as Ofsted, and the Education Endowment Fund (EEF), reaches our pupils in the most
effective manner.
Our learning model is embedded through ongoing CPD. The academy has ‘Teaching and Learning Advocates’, who are trained by the Research
School. The advocates work with school leaders to then plan and deliver CPD in school, focussing on two principles per year. Leaders at the
academy work with staff from across the Trust to quality assure the effectiveness of this.
