Outdoor Learning in Early Years

Alongside their daily entitlement to outdoor play, children in Nursery and Reception explore the natural world for a full day each week.  This includes exploring seasonal changes linked to the weather, animals and growing flowers and plants. They also develop physical skills when exploring the adjoining woodlands.

We go out in all weathers! Our children love to explore a range of sensory play opportunities, including puddle jumping, rolling down hills and baking in the mud kitchen.  On a range of terrains, they learn how to move around safely and with skill and confidence!
